Kim Roberts
Attorney
Attorney Kim Roberts has been practicing law in California for over three decades, most of that time in the area of family law. She concentrates her practice in California divorce, including custody, support, and complex property division.
A native of the Bay area, Kim moved to Southern California to pursue a bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University. After graduating from SDSU with a degree in Political Science, she set her sights on law school. While at law school at California Western School of Law, she was in the top 10% of her class and a member of the Law Review as a Notes and Comments Editor. She was also active in the Women Lawyers club.
Kim views the law as a means to help people navigate difficult life challenges. She enjoys practicing family law, in particular, as it offers a way to connect with people during a dark time in their lives and help them move forward into a brighter future. Clients appreciate Kim’s compassion and warmth, but are most grateful for the strong advocacy she provides.
Kim’s motto is “settle when possible, fight when needed.” Kim knows that settlement often results in the best outcome for her clients; by negotiating with the help of an experienced attorney, they can custom-design an agreement for their family’s needs. But Kim also understands that sometimes, it is necessary to litigate to protect your rights. When the other party won’t be reasonable or honest in negotiations, Kim is fully prepared to take the matter to court. Because she is an able negotiator and a skilled litigator, her clients can be confident that she will help them achieve the best outcome in their family law case.
